DJ
I’m an experienced DJ who has played venues of all
different types and sizes.
I’ve worked various clubs, ice rinks, parties as well as being the
Slough Jets
Official Match Day DJ/Announcer for over a decade.
Clubs worked include Cindarellas, Vision,
Chicagos and Ice rink experience includes Slough, Guildford, Milton Keynes,
Basingstoke and Streatham.
Experience has given me the ability to
interact
with audiences of all ages from young children to mature adults, presenting
entertainment to any audience rather than just ramming tunes down their ears
I love my music but
place equal emphasis on my
presentation. I spent a lot of time listening to new music to keep up with and
ahead of what’s going on. I’m a member of promo mailing lists which means I get
access to new music before it comes anywhere near commercial release so I can
blend upfront tunes in with today’s music and some choice classics as well.
I love 80s music and 90s music and disco and
dance classics as well so I’m into anything from upfront hip-hop to old school
dance classics!
I like to spend time chatting to people, gauging
reactions to tunes I’m spinning, finding out what people want to hear and
generally getting people involved in what's going on.
Marketing / Event Promotion
I've also spent time working on Marketing, Event organising and promotion
- Implementation of Social Media networking using Facebook, Bebo and MySpace,
Twitter
- Development of strong brand identification such as “Foamtastic Friday”,
“Saturday Sensations”, “Ice”
- Booking artists to perform live at “Absolute Ice presents” events
- Development of ideas and music themes for annual Christmas Skating Show
production
- Building relationships with local media (printed and radio) for general
purpose marketing
- Liaison with Design and Print agency to produce company literature and
flyers
- Administration of content on Company website
